O Line Detour on Thursday, July 4 - ALL DAY

On Thursday, July 4, the outbound O line will be detoured in downtown due to street closures. The 2nd Street @ B Street Outbound (#005) and 2nd Street @ E Street (#007) bus stops will not be served. Use Amtrak Outbound (#011) or 1st Street @ C Street (#002) as an alternative for the O line. All inbound bus stops will be served however the bus may experience delays.

MU Terminal Service Restored; Silo Terminal Service Suspended

As of 10:00am, bus service to and from the MU Terminal has been restored after a blockage due to protest activity was removed.  Expect minor delays on most MU Terminal bound routes.

 

As of 11:00am, Silo Terminal buses have been staged at Parking Lot 41, located across the street from the West End Parking Garage at Hutchison and Kleiber Hall Drive.  Customers waiting at the Silo Terminal should proceed west down Hutchison Drive to Lot 41 to catch a bus once service is restored.  Expect delays throughout the day. and overcrowded vehicles. In addition, the following changes have been made - A regular V line serving all bus stops will operate until the Silo Terminal is reopened. The V Express and V Limited will not operate during the detours. The J & W lines will only operate every 30 minutes throughout the day. The L, W, and Z lines cannot operate through campus to Shields Library or the Art Building. Use Lot 41 or stops in downtown for L, W, and Z line buses.

Public Notice: Unitrans Federal Transit Administration DBE Goal FFY2024-2026

In accordance with 49 CFR Part 26.45(g), Unitrans, as a recipient of U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) assistance, announces a proposed Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) overall program goal of 2.5 percent for Federal Fiscal Years 2024-2026. This race-neutral goal represents the percentage of work to be performed by certified DBE firms on federally assisted projects. The methodology used to determine the proposed goal and rationale will be available for public inspection for thirty (30) days from the date of this notice upon request.

 

Unitrans will be hosting a webinar for public participation to present the methodology for establishing the proposed DBE goal, provide an opportunity to the public for comments, and questions about the Airport’s DBE program and proposed DBE goal.

Unitrans Annual Program of Projects - Allocation of Federal Transit Funding

On an annual basis and as needed, the City of Davis prepares a Program of Projects (POP) that forms the basis for grant applications submitted to the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) for funding.   The City submits and executes grant applications and agreements, and then passes funds through to Unitrans through a sub-recipient agreement.  FTA regulatory guidance requires the City to make the proposed POP available for public review and comment prior to its approval by the City Council.  All comments made on the POP by the deadline will be summarized and provided to the City Council when it reviews and takes action. The deadline for submitting comments on the proposed POP is Thursday, January 25, 2024. The City and Unitrans welcome all comments from the general public and providers of other transportation services on this proposed program of projects in the most convenient format available.  The most common ways in which to submit comments include the following: 

1) Send an email message with the subject “Program of Projects” to comments@unitrans.ucdavis.edu

2) Send a letter addressed to Unitrans ATTN: AGMA, 1 Shields Ave, South Hall Room 5, Davis, CA 95616

3) Attend a public hearing on the Program of Projects at the Unitrans Advisory Committee meeting to be held on Thursday, January 25, 2022 at 4pm at the Davis Senior Center, 646 A Street, Davis, CA 95616
